I am not 1,000% sure, but I think Whole Foods has some kind of exchange program with those types of co2 canisters because they are used for Seltzer machines. Could be wrong though!

They are Paintball shop and refill a 20oz CO2 tank for $5.50.
I think this is the only place to fill the 20oz tank in NYC area.

There is a place called atlantic welding its on 39th street between 3rd and 2nd Ave. 15 bucks for a five pound exchange. they do propane to.

Perfect, I was going to ask if there were any places on the Island as I got a keg set up for xmas. Now all I need is a fridge or freezer.

Kirk, they only do the 20oz ones. The place to fill full sized tanks is over on Richmond Terrace.

Ask Mark, I haven't been there yet. Work gave me a 20lb tank for free and it hasn't run out yet. I used to fill in BK on Prospect Avenue and 3 Avenue.

Ok, thanks...i'll shoot him an email. Yea I saw a few places in BK when I was at the home brew shop. I just need a freezer or fridge and my next beer is going in.

FYI Staten Islanders, Star Supply on 3000 Richmond Terrace does CO2 exchanges. $20 for a 5#

They'll do partial refills 3-4lbs. They fill on the spot, and charge $6/lb. It's pricey, but convenient for me as I live right around the corner. Also, there's no risk of getting an overly experienced canister with an exchange.
